Installation Guide
From a fresh MetaTrader 5 to the EA running on an XAUUSD chart. Work on a DEMO account first — every step here is identical on a real account later.
1 · Install MetaTrader 5 and log in to your demo account
Download MetaTrader 5 from your broker's website and log in with the demo account credentials the broker emailed you.
Make sure the symbol XAUUSD (gold) is visible in Market Watch — right-click Market Watch and choose "Show All" if it is not.
2 · Download the EA file from your dashboard
Log in to your ShadowStrikes dashboard and download the ShadowStrike EA file from the Library page.
In MT5, open File → Open Data Folder, then place the file inside MQL5/Experts.
3 · Attach the EA to an XAUUSD chart
Restart MT5, open an XAUUSD chart, and drag the EA from the Navigator panel onto the chart.
In the dialog that appears, allow algorithmic trading, then confirm. The on-chart dashboard should appear.
4 · Register your account number
On your ShadowStrikes dashboard, add the MetaTrader account number and broker server as a demo account.
The EA validates against that registration; within a minute the dashboard shows the account as running.
